Santa Cruz History Right Here is an experiment, to see if it is possible to bring new stories about Santa Cruz history--mostly the twentieth century--online so that people can talk about it. I use newspapers.com as the source of most of what is here. This resource unfortunately is the Sentinel and the News, and not the smaller papers with alternative viewpoints. That's one reason why it is important to bring 20th-C history out of the archives and into our conversations with people who were there.
I am not a historian. I am a Santa Cruzan. I write these posts using the sources I have. I know that they may be inaccurate, and welcome comments that can add further to the story.
